Subject	The FSC will publish an advance notice of proposed amendment to the Depositor Protection Act (DPA)
* The following comments and the attached file are an English Translation of the FSS press release. The Financial Services Commission(FSC) will publish an advance notice of proposed amendment to the Depositor Protection Act (DPA) for 20 days beginning on September 1(Wed.), 2010. The revision is aimed at providing stronger protection to depositors and encouraging financial institutions, particularly savings banks, to improve their soundness to adapt to the changing financial landscape. * This bill will be reviewed by the Ministry of Government Legislation, discussed at a cabinet meeting and then, submitted to the National Assembly in October.
