Subject	Visit to the FDIC and the IMF/WB Annual Meeting
The Chairman of the KDIC, Mr. Park Dae Dong and other delegates from the KDIC attended the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Annual Meeting on October 13, 2008. Prior to attending the Annual Meeting, Mr. Park and the KDIC delegates visited the FDIC where Mr. Park had meetings with FDIC Chairman Ms. Sheila Bair and FDIC Vice Chairman Mr. Martin Gruenberg. They analyzed the current global financial crisis in depth and discussed the crucial role the deposit insurance system plays in this regard. Mr. Park also had a meeting with Mr. Phil Gramm, Vice Chairman of UBS,during which they discussed the originating causes of the global financial crisis and the prospects of recovery.
