Subject	The 6th Chairman and President of KDIC was newly appointed
Jan. 7, 2008 Mr. Dae-dong Park was inaugurated as the 6th Chairman and President of KDIC on Jan. 7, 2008. At his inaugural address, the new chairman reminded the KDIC staff of our mission to: - Gain the confidence of both the public and the market through improving the soundness of the Deposit Insurance Fund (DIF) and by ensuring that the deposit insurance system is market friendly. - Strengthen the market surveillance system and prevent insurance contingencies to minimize the loss to the DIF. - Endeavor to maximize the recovery of public funds injected to the financial companies during a crisis related to financial restructuring. - Preemptively cope with the changing financial environment and improve the protection provided to depositors, investors, and policyholders.
