Subject	KDIC Attended the 10th IADI Annual General Meeting & Annual Conference
Mr. Won-Tae Yi, Executive Vice President of the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC), attended the 10th IADI Annual General Meeting & Annual Conference held in Warsaw, Poland from October 17 (Mon.) to October 20 (Thur.). At the request of the Training and Conference Committee of IADI, the KDIC decided to host next year’s Executive Training Program in Seoul in November. Targeting senior officials of IADI members and central banks and supervisory authorities, the training program aims to enhance their understanding of deposit insurance and share knowledge and experience. Since its start in 2007, the program has brought together dozens of participants from all over the jurisdictions each year. In addition, the KDIC played a leading role in creating a subcommittee within the Research & Guidance Committee (RGC) devoted to the topic of integrated deposit insurance. In recognition of its role, the KDIC was named Chair of the subcommittee and discussed the research plan with 11 other members that have adopted or are interested with an integrated deposit insurance system including the US, UK, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. As chair of the Subcommittee on Handling of Systemic Crisis, the KDIC also gave a presentation on its draft final research paper, which was viewed as having significant policy implications by meeting participants.
