The KDIC Global Training Program is a training for deposit insurance officials around the world which is conducted on a regular basis. With the KDIC Global Training Program, the KDIC intends to support capacity-building and thus contribute to the sharing of knowledge and encourage collaboration among deposit insurers.
The KDIC Global Training Program offers detailed courses on key functions of deposit insurers. There are two courses, each offered once a year: one on resolution and recovery and the other on fund management and risk monitoring. Would-be participants can choose either according to their needs. The training takes place in the form of classroom lectures, case studies, participant presentations and discussions. To enhance the effectiveness of training, participants will be asked to work on exercise questions, hold small group discussions and give a presentation on their respective deposit insurance schemes.
The desired size of participants is between 15 to 20. The actual number of participants will be decided in consultation with participant-sending organizations three to four months prior to the holding of each course. When selecting participants, the KDIC takes into account the diversity of their backgrounds, past experience of participation in the program, etc.
The program is largely conducted at the KDIC¡¯s training facility, KDIC Global Academy. Please find the link below for more information on the KDIC Global Academy.
